Folk Tale Adventures Writing Workshop

Venue: The Writers Workshop

Facilitator: Carmel Page

Robin of Loxley is better known as Robin Hood. He probably haled from Loxley, on the edge of Sheffield, but more associated with Nottingham. How important are local stories to our sense of place and self? In the earliest Robin stories, he was nothing like the social reformer of modern tales. Why has his story changed and does it matter?

Sheffield storyteller Carmel Page will tell a version of the story, then there'll be time for discussion and writing your own version or response.
