Facilitators: Anne Grange and Harley Ryley
When you are writing about your life, do you always have to tell the truth? What if you want to change someone's identity, exaggerate, make things more negative or positive than they really were, or what if you want to write vividly but can't remember names, places or details of key life events? Does it matter if you aren't writing the complete truth? And where is the line between fact and fiction?
Everyone is welcome, whether you are an experienced writer who wants to explore truth in life writing, or a curious beginner. By the end of the workshop, you will have several short pieces of writing you can develop further.
We'll be trying out a series of prompts and exercises intended to spark your creativity. The session will be fun, interactive, and sensitive to everyone's needs.
